Water damage restoration in Halton Hills
Halton Hills has the oldest homes of anywhere we serve, and the Credit River runs through Georgetown and Glen Williams. If water got into yours, tell us what happened and we'll get back to you.
Georgetown has flooded hard twice since 2024, and the Credit River has a long flood history here
The July 16, 2024 storm centred over rural Halton Hills just west of Georgetown, with up to 79 mm of rain, and Halton Region counted 124 basement floods across Halton Hills.
The Delrex Boulevard area was hit twice: almost 100 homes were flood-damaged in July 2024, and 43, some of them the same houses, after a storm in April 2025.
Photographs show the Credit River flooding Glen Williams and Georgetown in 1912, 1913 and 1965. One home in five in Halton Hills was built in 1960 or earlier.
In Halton Hills, the Town handles overland flooding, the Region handles sewer backups, and a well needs testing after a flood
- Overland flooding, ditches, culverts and catch basins: the Town of Halton Hills Public Works.
- Sewage backing up into the basement: Halton Region, on 311.
- On a private well: don't drink the water until it's tested. Halton Region provides free sample bottles; see where to pick them up and drop them off.
